Institute for Cultural Diversity Website Launched

It has been such a pleasure for the Energetica team to be working on the Institute for Cultural Diversity website - this is a site and a customer that combines the elements we love and are passionate about - a fantastic concept, a commitment to develop an online community and opportunities for participation, collaboration and shared knowledge, and a commitment to accessibility and equality.
Of course getting all of these elements working in harmony is always a challenge - but a challenge we love to take on!
One of the key requirements of this site was that it adopted high levels of accessibility, no problems - we can handle that - the catch in this situation? To make the tools used by participants accessible - so elements like the comments form, the social networking tools and the add events function all had to be accessible! Fortunately due to the flexibility of the Joomla! software we use we were able to meet all of the Institutes objectives and we have a range of functionality that will benefit our not-for-profit customers in the years to come.
Aside from the accessibility features this is a site that really pushes the boundaries of using social media and web 2.0 strategies. This will be an exciting site to watch as it and its community of users evolve and develop.
